Hogan Lovells launches DriveChain

DriveChain, a blockchain-powered solution for document and contract automation, was launched by Hogan Lovells a week ago. Notably, BNP Paribas Real Estate has become the first customer to start using the platform, which can be used in a diverse range of industries.

DriveChain technology appends structured info to PDFs and Word documents, converting them into “smart documents.” This allows the software to be utilized for adding the document data by Hogan Lovell’s customers or their contracting associates. Through this process, reports can be generated, due diligence can be performed, or even assets can be managed, as in the case of BNP Paribas.

One of the main advantages is the likely interoperability between document management and contracting platforms, even when actual documents are generated using different software.

Also, the document information is distributed on a peer-to-peer basis and not retained in the cloud or on the blockchain platform. The system is based on Integra Ledger, an enterprise-level blockchain structured for the legal sector using Hyperledger Fabric.

The blockchain retains document identity and a hash, analogous to a document fingerprint, in addition to a timestamp. In case a document gets altered, a new hash is allotted. So, the primary function of the blockchain platform is to validate documents. The info is shared across blockchain nodes run by top law firms.

Equideum Health signs deal with Nokia Bell Labs

Equideum Health (previously called as ConsenSys Health), an associate firm of ConsenSys and Mesh portfolio company developing Web3 person-focused healthcare and research networks, stated that it had inked a research partnership deal with Nokia Bell Labs, which is working to equip individuals with tools to retain, manage and gain form their personal health-related data.

The partnership will mainly concentrate on quickly widening datasets created from wearable and other gadgets, including rings, smartwatches, wearables, and the growing series of in-home medical instruments.

The ear gear will be embedded as a typical edge gizmo with the private clouds inside Equideum Health’s upcoming direct-to-consumer solution.

The second initiative will be the incorporation of a collaborative machine learning ecosystem that can retain the privacy of the user info and the AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning) prototypes during training and interpretation. This incorporation will boost the choice of privacy models offered within Equideum Health’s enterprise-level Data Integrity and Learning NetworksTM (DILNs).

The Equideum Exchange will also permit individuals to generate revenue from their personal health info and also pave the way for enterprise DILN members to partake in the latest data economy.

The Equideum Exchange framework also includes the Nokia Data Marketplace (NDM) solution, rendered via its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. The implementation has been made in a distinct manner using a public-permissioned Ethereum blockchain framework to aid self-sovereign identity, data, and state-of-the-art privacy preservation within an open, decentralized finance (DeFi) environment distinguishing in health and health-relevant info as an asset category.
